STUFFED MIRLITONS | |
5 mirlitons 1 lb. shrimp or ground meat 3 med. onions 3 toes garlic 1/4 bunch parsley 1 bunch green onions Salt and pepper to taste 1 c. bread crumbs (half in mixture, half on top for baking) Boil mirlitons until able to pierce with a fork. Peel skin, take out the seed and dice. Simmer seasonings well in little oil with salt and pepper. Than add shrimp or meat and cook until redness in meat is gone or shrimp turns pink. Put mirlitons in mixture, stir and continue to cook on low heat. If too moist, add 1/2 cup bread crumbs and cook down. Put in casserole dish, cover with butter and sprinkle with bread crumbs at 350 degrees for 35 minutes. |
