GARLIC POTATOES 
6 med. potatoes
1/3 c. butter
2 garlic cloves, crushed (or equivalent from jar of fresh ground garlic)

Melt butter with garlic mixed in. Wash and slice potatoes (slices approximately 1/8" thick). In an oven proof casserole, place a layer of potato slices. Brush on butter and garlic mixture, repeat until you run out of potato slices. Cover, bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Remove cover, bake for 30 more minutes. Serves 4.

Short Cut: Use a microwave safe casserole; cover and microwave on High for 20 minutes. Remove cover and place in oven. Broil for 5 minutes or until top layer just starts to turn brown. Serve.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
