CRANBERRY CAKE WITH CARAMEL
SAUCE
 
CAKE:

1 c. sugar
3 tsp. butter
2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. milk
2 c. raw whole cranberries

CARAMEL SAUCE:

1/2 c. butter
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. cream
1 tsp. vanilla

CAKE: Cream sugar and butter. Sift dry ingredients and add to creamed mixture. Add milk and cranberries and mix well. Bake in greased, floured cake pan at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. Remove from oven and allow to cool.

SAUCE: In saucepan, bring butter, sugar and cream to a boil. Add vanilla. Serve over cake.

This is a great cake for the holidays.
