FRUIT CAKE COOKIES 
1 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. butter
4 eggs, beaten
3 c. flour (reserve 1 c. of this to flour fruit)
3 tsp. baking soda dissolved in 3 tbsp. milk
1 tsp. cloves
1 tsp. allspice
1 tsp. cinnamon
2/3 c. dark rum (or bourbon)
2 lb. chopped pecans
2 lb. candied cherries and pineapple (both red and green)
1/2 lb. white raisins

Mix well. Drop on greased pan by teaspoons. Bake at 275 degrees for 12-15 minutes.

Makes about 250 cookies.
