CHICKEN A LA KING CASSEROLE 
1 (5 or 6 oz.) pkg. (3 1/2 c.) med. noodles
1 can condensed cream of chicken soup
1 (6 oz.) can (2/3 c.) evaporated milk
1/2 tsp. salt
2 c. diced cooked chicken or turkey
1 c. celery slices
1/4 c. diced green pepper
1/4 c. diced pimento
1 c. slivered blanched almonds, toasted
Buttered bread crumbs
1 1/2 c. shredded American cheese may be used if desired

Cook noodles until done - drain. Form in nest in greased 2 quart casserole. Mix soup, milk, salt; heat, stirring constantly. Add cheese (if used), stir until melted.

Add remaining ingredients except 1/2 cup almonds and crumbs. Pour over noodles. Top with crumbs and remaining almonds. Bake uncovered in hot oven, 400 degrees, about 20 minutes. Makes 6 servings.
