PINTO BEAN CAKE 
1/2 c. butter
1 c. sugar
1 egg
2 cans pinto beans
1 c. self-rising flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. cloves
2 c. diced raw apples
1 c. raisins
1/2 c. chopped nuts
1 tsp. vanilla

Cream butter and sugar. Add egg. Mash pinto beans and add to mixture. Sift dry ingredients and add to the creamy mixture. Add diced apples, raisins, nuts and vanilla. Bake in greased tube pan at 350 degrees for 1 hour.

ICING:

1/2 c. Crisco
1 box powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
3 tsp. juice from pinto beans
1 tbsp. milk

Mix together. If too thick to spread, add more liquid.
