TEXAS BARBECUED SPARERIBS 
Place on rack in shallow pan, 3 pounds spareribs cut in serving size pieces. On each piece, place 1 lemon slice. Sprinkle over all, 1/2 cup chopped onion. Bake in hot oven (450 degrees) about 30 minutes. Pour Texas Barbecue Sauce over ribs. Continue baking in moderate oven (350 degrees) for 1 1/2-2 hours. Baste with sauce every 15 minutes. Cover last 30 minutes.

TEXAS BARBECUE SAUCE:

2 tbsp. brown sugar
1 tbsp. paprika
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. dry mustard
1 tsp. chili powder
1/8 tsp. cayenne pepper
2 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
1/4 c. catsup
1/2 c. water

Simmer 15 minutes or until slightly thickened.
