FILBERT BALLS 
1 1/2 c. ground filberts
1 c. sifted flour
2 tbsp. sugar
1/2 c. soft butter
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
Confectioners' sugar

Heat oven to 375 degrees. Empty nuts into mixing bowl. Add all remaining ingredients except confectioners' sugar to the nuts and mix thoroughly. Refrigerate dough for at least 1/2 hour. Form dough into 1 inch balls. Place 1 inch apart on ungreased cookie sheet and bake 15-20 minutes until set but not brown. Cool partially on cooling rack and roll in confectioners' sugar while warm. Re-roll in sugar again just before serving.
