1 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
1 (5.3 oz.) can evaporated milk

In 3 quart casserole stir together sugar, salt and milk until blended. Microwave on High 5 to 6 minutes, until boiling hard.

2 squares (2 oz.) unsweetened chocolate
2 tbsp. butter
1 tsp. vanilla

Into boiling mixture stir in chocolate until completely. Stir in butter and vanilla. Makes about 1 1/2 cups.
