BEER BATTER 
1 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. oil
1 c. stale beer
1/4 tsp. Tabasco sauce

In medium bowl mix flour, salt, and baking powder. Make a well in center of dry mixture. Pour in oil, beer, and Tabasco stirring constantly until batter is smooth. Allow batter to stand covered 3 hours at room temperate. Stir before using. Dip vegetables or shrimp into cornstarch before dipping in batter. Deep fry.
