SHRIMP BATTER 
1 1/2 c. flour
1/2 c. cornstarch
1/4 c. cornmeal
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. water
1/2 c. milk
1 beaten egg

Mix all ingredients well. Pat shrimp or fish dry before dipping so it doesn't splatter when frying. Dip shrimp or fish fillet in batter and fry in hot oil.
