VERA'S PECAN PIE 
3 eggs, beaten
1 c. dark syrup
1/2 c. white syrup
1 tsp. vanilla
1/16 tsp. salt
2 tbsp. melted shortening (butter)
1 c. chopped pecans
1 tbsp. flour
1 (9-inch) unbaked pie shell

Combine eggs, dark syrup and white syrup, vanilla and salt. Add melted shortening. Mix nuts with flour and stir into egg, syrup mixture. Pour into an unbaked 9-inch pie shell. Bake in moderate 350 degree oven for 40 minutes.
