RICE PECAN PIE 
1 c. cooked rice
3/4 c. molasses or dark corn syrup
2 eggs (beaten)
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. pecan halves
1/4 c. butter
1 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
1 (9 inch) unbaked pie shell

Melt butter, add sugar, syrup and eggs, stirring gradually. Add rice, salt and vanilla and mix thoroughly. Pour into pie shell and place pecans on top. Bake in moderate 375 degree oven for about an hour, cool before serving. Will serve 8 or 10 a rich pie.
