AN EASY APPLE CRISP 
4 to 5 apples (about 4 c.), pared and sliced
4 tablespoons water
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1/2 cup flour
1/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup butter, softened
1/2 tsp. cinnamon

Heat oven to 350°F.

Wash, peel and core apples.

Place apples in 9 x 9 inch baking pan, greased.

Sprinkle water mixed with lemon juice over apple slices. Mix flour, sugar, butter, and cinnamon with a fork until crumbly. Sprinkle over apples.

Bake, uncovered, in a preheated 350°F oven until the topping is light golden brown and apples are tender, 25-30 minutes. Makes 4 servings.
