AMERICAN CHOP SUEY 
4-5 slices bacon
1 lb. hamburg
3 tbsp. sugar
1 lg. can stewed tomatoes
1/4 c. rice
1 c. spaghetti
1 med. size onion
Salt to taste
Pepper to taste

In large skillet fry 4 to 5 slices bacon; set aside. Cook 4 to 5 medium size slices of onion in bacon fat until transparent. Add hamburg and stir until no raw pieces show. Add sugar, salt and pepper to taste and stewed tomatoes. Cover and simmer 1 hour, stirring frequently. Cook rice and spaghetti together until done. Then add to above mixture and simmer another hour. Total cooking time, 2 hours.
