AMERICAN STYLE CHOP SUEY 
1 1/2 lb. stew meat
1 c. celery
3 onions
2 bouillon cubes
1 1/2 c. hot water
2 tbsp. soy sauce
1 tbsp. molasses
2 tbsp. cornstarch
Salt and pepper to taste

Cut meat, celery and onions in small pieces. Cook meat slowly in a little oil for 5 minutes. Add celery and cook 5 minutes. Add onion, cook and cover for 5 minutes. Dissolve bouillon in hot water. Add soy sauce and molasses.

Cover and simmer for 1 1/2 to 2 hours. Thicken with corn starch and serve over rice or noodles.

I tweaked this recipe a little and added a few more spices, most importantly fresh garlic. This tasted almost like my mom's for which I do not have the recipe. It is great! It's easy to prepare and quite tasty.
