SWISS TARTS 
1 c. butter
1 1/4 c. sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
2 1/2 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. chopped
Pecans
1/2 c. maraschino cherries
1/2 c. flaked coconut
1 c. chocolate chips

Cream butter. Add sugar gradually. Blend in egg and vanilla. Combine flour, baking powder, salt and stir into creamed mixture. Add nuts, cherries, coconut and chocolate chips.

Spread dough on a greased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for 20 minutes.

Cool slightly. Cut into bars.
