HEAVENLY BROWNIES | |
1 fudge brownie mix 1 c. chocolate chips 1/2 c. chopped pecans 1/2 c. heavy cream 1/3 c. butter 1 1/2 c. sugar 1 tsp. vanilla 2 oz. unsweetened Bakers chocolate Make brownie mix according to package directions adding chocolate chips and pecans. Allow to cool. Combine cream, butter and sugar in heavy saucepan. Cook, stirring occasionally, over low heat until mixture reaches soft ball stage (236 degrees). Do not let boil over. Remove from heat and allow to cool UNDISTURBED to 110 degrees or cool enough to hold pan. Turn into small bowl, add vanilla and beat until smooth and creamy. Spread on brownies. Chill until top is firm to the touch. Melt unsweetened chocolate and allow to cool slightly. Spread or drizzle over top of brownies. Chill thoroughly. Cut into small bars or squares. |
