MY MOTHER'S APPLE PIE 
CRUST:

2 c. all-purpose flour
1/2 c. shortening
1/3 c. butter
1/4 tsp. salt
1 sm. egg, slightly beaten
1 tsp. vinegar
4 tbsp. cold water

OPTIONAL: Add 1/4 teaspoon Watkins lemon dessert mix.

Sprinkle 1 tablespoon sugar and 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon over bottom of pie crust.

FILLING:

3 c. thinly sliced pie apples
3/4 c. sugar
1/4 c. brown sugar
3 tbsp. cornstarch
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/4 tsp. salt
3 tsp. butter
1/4 tsp. lemon juice

OPTIONAL: Add 1 tablespoon Watkins lemon dessert mix.

Sprinkle with 1 tablespoon sugar and 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon on top of crust.
