APPLE DESSERT 
1 large egg
1/3 c. sugar
pinch of salt
1/3 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 c. apples, chopped

Beat egg, gradually adding sugar. Beat until thick and lemon colored. Fold in flour sifted with baking powder and salt. Add chopped apple. Pour into a well greased 8-inch pie pan and bake at 350°F until light brown and edge begins to shrink from pan. Serve hot or warm with a dollop of ice cream.

For a 9-inch pie pan, use 2 medium eggs and 1/2 cup each of sugar and flour.

Variation: Try adding nuts and/or raisins.
