SWEDISH RYE BREAD 
1 qt. scalded milk
1 c. sugar
1 tbsp. salt
2 pkgs. yeast
10 to 12 c. flour (a little at a time)
2 c. rye flour
1/2 c. molasses
1 to 1 1/2 tbsp. anise seed
1/2 c. warm water

Mix rye flour, sugar, molasses, and salt; add milk. Cool. Mix in yeast, anise seed, and flour using large Tupperware bowl to mix and knead. Takes about 1/2 hour. I take 2 tablespoons shortening or so and clean bowl and knead until hand is clean from dough.

Make hole in center of dough to bottom; when it comes together, the dough is raised (approximately 2 hours). Make into 4 loaves. Let rise 3/4 hour. Butter tops. Bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes.
