SWEDISH RYE BREAD 
3 c. rye flour
2 1/2 c. warm water
1 c. Grandma's molasses
1/2 c. sugar
2 pkg. Fleischmann's yeast
1/2 c. Crisco
1 1/2 tsp. salt

Put yeast in warm water. Add molasses, Crisco, salt and sugar in large bowl and add rye flour. Let rise and then work in enough white flour to make right consistency. Knead. Let rise gain. Knead again. Put in 3 loaf pans and let rise to top. Bake 1 1/2 hours at 350 degrees. Take out of oven and rub butter or shortening on top of loaves. When cooled, wrap clean towel around loaves to keep moist.
