FIVE LAYER CASSEROLE 
4 med. potatoes
6 carrots
2 med. onions
3/4 lb. ground beef
1/4 lb. pork sausage
1 sm. can tomato sauce

Slice potatoes very thin and place in bottom of buttered casserole. Add layer of sliced carrots and then onion. Brown beef and pork sausage - then top casserole with meat. Pour tomato sauce over entire mixture and bake in moderate oven (350 degrees) for about 1 hour. Serve very hot. Can be varied by adding other vegetables or cheese.
