DANISH PUFF COFFEE CAKE | |
BOTTOM: 1 c. flour 1/2 c. butter 2 tbsp. water TOP LAYER: 1/2 c. butter 1 c. flour 1 tbsp. vanilla 1 c. water 3 eggs FROSTING: 2 c. powdered sugar 4 or 5 tbsp. cream 1 tsp. vanilla flavoring Bottom Layer: cut butter into flour and add water and mix. Pat dough into a pie pan. Top Layer: Bring water and butter to a rolling boil. Add flavoring and remove from heat. Immediately add flour. Mix until smooth, add each egg, one at a time and beat well. Spread dough over the bottom layer. Bake at 325 for 1 1/2 hours. Let cool, frost and sprinkle with chopped nuts. |
