MACAROON VELVET 
1 pkg. (3 oz.) Jello, cherry, strawberry, banana or Concord grape
2 tbsp. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. boiling water
1 c. cold water
1 c. whipped cream
1 tsp. vanilla
6 lg. macaroons crumbled
1/4 c. chopped toasted almonds

Dissolve Jello, sugar and salt in boiling water. Add cold water. Chill until slightly thick. Blend in remaining ingredients. Spoon into remaining mold. Chill until firm. Makes 5 servings.
