TEXAS PECAN PIE 
3 eggs
1/2 c. sugar
1 tbsp. butter
1 c. dark corn syrup
1/8 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 c. pecans
1 unbaked pie shell

Beat the eggs; add sugar, butter, corn syrup, salt, and vanilla. Mix well. Add most of the pecans to the mixture, saving a few to put on the top of the pie. Pour into the pie shell. Bake at 300 degrees for 1 hour and 20 minutes.
