FIRST MIX:

1/2 c. sweet milk
1 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. grated chocolate
1 egg

Let boil 1 minute, stirring constantly.

SECOND MIXTURE:

1 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. butter
2 c. self-rising flour
2 eggs
1/2 c. sweet milk
1 tsp. vanilla

Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs and beat vigorously then add flour and milk. Alternately stir into this the chocolate paste which is thoroughly cooled. Bake in layers or in a single loaf. Frost with any kind of frosting, I use chocolate.
