MACARONI AND CHEESE | |
2 c. uncooked macaroni 1/2 c. butter (whole stick) 1/2 c. flour 1 1/2 c. milk 1 1/2 c. sour cream 1 tbsp. salt 1/2 tsp. pepper 10 oz. bar Cheddar cheese (grated) Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cook macaroni. Pour into a greased 3 quart casserole dish. In saucepan, melt butter, stir in the flour. Gradually stir in the milk and sour cream. Add salt and pepper. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly until sauce bubbles and thickens. Reserve 1 cup of cheese. Toss remaining cheese into the macaroni. Pour milk and sour cream sauce over macaroni and mix thoroughly. Sprinkle remaining cheese on top. Bake 1 hour. |
