CHINESE BBQ CHICKEN THIGHS 
4 lbs. chicken thighs
1/2 clove garlic
1 inch fresh ginger
1/2 c. soy sauce
3/4 c. sugar
1/2 c. catsup
2 tbsp. white wine
1 tbsp. salt

Blend together and marinate overnight. Broil in oven 15 minutes on each side or grill.

The key word is "OR", I used 4 cloves of pressed garlic with the pressed garlic some red pepper flakes to counter the amount of sugar and as the maker says "Grilled" over medium hot coals (in my smoker with the charcoal pan at the bottom) for 30 minutes (15 minutes per side) with a 1 - cup of soaked hickory wood chips and it came out PERFECTO... Oven method as stated would have worked fine due to the HOT, HIGH Heat of the Broiler, gas or electric...
