CHOCOLATE DREAM CAKE 
Put 2 cups sifted flour and 2 cups sugar in bowl. Set aside. Put 1 stick butter, 1/2 cup shortening, 1 cup water and 1/4 cup cocoa in a double boiler. Heat to boiling point and pour over the flour-sugar mixture, mixing well.

1/2 c. buttermilk
2 eggs, slightly beaten
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. baking soda

Add all this to the cake batter and mix well. Pour into a greased and floured 13 x 9 x 5 inch or larger pan and bake 40 minutes at 400 degrees or until done.

FROSTING:

1 stick butter
3 tbsp. cocoa
1/3 c. canned milk

1 lb. powdered sugar, sifted
1 tsp. vanilla
2/3 c. chopped pecans

Mix quickly and spread over top of cake while still warm.
