LOW SODIUM PECAN DROPS 
1 c. pecans, finely chopped
1/2 c. reg. butter
1/2 c. plus 2 tbsp. shortening
1 c. confectioners' sugar
2 1/2 c. sifted flour
2 tsp. vanilla

Heat oven to 325 degrees. Cream butter and shortening together until smooth. Beat in sugar gradually. Stir in flour thoroughly and add vanilla and pecans. Mix well and drop by teaspoonsful onto an ungreased baking sheet. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes or until a delicate light brown. Makes 4 dozen cookies.
