OIL PIE CRUST | |
1 1/2 c. flour 3/4 tsp. salt 1/2 c. vegetable oil 1/4 c. cold water Sift together flour and salt in small bowl. Set aside. Beat together the oil and cold water until blended. Add to dry ingredients and mix with a fork just until all is moistened. No More. Dough will be moist and oily. Roll out between sheets of waxed paper and turn crust over into pan, centering. Remove bottom sheet of waxed paper and crimp edges of crust. (Or put ball of dough into pie pan and spread out evenly with fingers.) Prick bottom and edges of crust if baking unfilled. Bake at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown. Cool before filling. For 8" crust adjust ingredients as follows: 1 c. flour 1/2 tsp. salt 1/3 c. vegetable oil 2 1/2 tbsp. cold water |
