POPPY SEED CAKE SURPRISE | |
1 yellow cake mix 1 pkg. instant vanilla pudding 1 c. sour cream 1/3 c. poppy seeds 4 eggs 1/2 c. oil, olive 1 tsp. almond extract 1/2 c. water, can use sherry Combine all ingredients in large bowl, stirring to blend. Beat at medium speed for 5 minutes, scraping sides of bowl frequently. Pour into greased bundt cake pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. Cool in pan on rack for 15 minutes, then turn cake onto plate and cool completely. Dust with powdered sugar, if desired. Flavor improves each day. |
