SAUSAGE & CHEESE PIE | |
1 lb. Italian sausage 6 eggs 2 pkgs. (10 oz.) frozen spinach 2/3 c. ricotta Salt & pepper 1/8 tsp. garlic powder 1 tbsp. water 2 (2 crust) pie crusts Cook sausage and spoon off fat. Combine eggs, sausage, spinach, Mozzarella, ricotta, salt, pepper, garlic powder (reserve 1 egg yolk). Put mixture into 2 (9 inch) pie bottoms. Put on top crust and brush with egg yolk and 1 tablespoon water. Bake 1 hour and 15 minutes at 375 degrees. Put foil on top so crust won't burn after 45 minutes. Makes 2 pies. |
