APPLE CRISP 
Slice 8-10 medium apples in a dish. Add 1/4 cup sugar, 2 teaspoons of cinnamon, 1 teaspoon vanilla flavoring, 1/2 cup of water. Slice butter over top of apples.

TOPPING OVER APPLE CRISP:

Melt 1 stick of butter. Add 1 cup oatmeal, 1/2 cup sugar, 1/4 cup flour. Mix and spread over apples. Bake at 375 degrees for 35-40 minutes.
