SLICED CUCUMBER PICKLE 
Makes 6 or 7 pints.

4 qts. sliced cucumbers
6 med. white onions, sliced
1 sweet bell peppers
1 hot pepper
3 cloves garlic

Sprinkle with 1/3 cup salt and cover all with cracked ice and let stand 3 hours. Then drain all liquid off.

3 c. white vinegar
5 c. sugar (used 4 c.)
1 1/2 tsp. turmeric
1 1/2 tsp. celery seed
2 tbsp. mustard seed

Put above ingredients on stove and let dissolve good, then pour over cucumbers and bring to a good boil. When you fill first jar turn on third and keep hot while you fill other jars.
