KAHLUA CAKE 
1 pkg. German chocolate cake mix
2/3 c. orange juice
1/2 c. Kahlua
1/3 c. vegetable oil
1 tbsp. orange rind
3 eggs

Combine the first 6 ingredients and beat 2 minutes on high. Line the bottom of 2 (9 inch) round pans with wax paper. Pour batter into pans and bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 35 minutes. Cool before removing. Fill with date filling and frost.

DATE FILLING:

2/3 c. chopped dates
1/2 c. whipping cream
1/2 c. Kahlua
1 egg, beaten
1/4 c. sugar
1 tbsp. flour
1/2 c. pecans
1 tsp. grated orange rind

Combine dates, cream and Kahlua over medium heat until bubbles appear. Gradually stir in 1/4 of the hot mixture into the beaten egg. Add to the remaining hot mixture, stirring constantly. Combine the sugar and flour, mixing well and stir into the date mixture. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until it thickens. Remove from heat and add pecans and orange rind. Fill between the 2 cooled layers.

FROSTING:

1 can chocolate fudge frosting
1 tsp. Kahlua
1 tsp. grated orange rind

Mix the above ingredients and frost.
