CHICKEN MARINADE | |
2 1/2 c. water 1/2 c. vinegar 2 tbsp., 2 tsp. salt 2 tbsp., 2 tsp. sugar 2 1/2 tsp. garlic salt 2 1/2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce 2 tsp. pepper 1 stick butter These are strange measurements. It was a very large recipe cut down to use for family cooking. Combine all ingredients except butter in medium saucepan. Boil until all salts are dissolved. Melt butter in hot mixture. This marinade is good for chicken and beef. I cook chicken pieces with marinade spooned over in a covered baking dish at 400 degree for 45 minutes, then brown on grill or broiler for 10 minutes. Also great for eye of round roast. Marinate overnight, then cook roast as usually. |
