NEVER FAIL PIE CRUST 
1 c. shortening (or 1 1/4 c.)
3 c. sifted flour, cut into shortening
1 tsp. salt
1 egg, beaten, add to 5 tbsp. cold water
1 tsp. vinegar

Add to flour mixture, can add bite more water, if needed. Roll out with rolling pin.
