APPLE DUMPLINGS AND SAUCE 
2 c. light brown sugar
2 tbsp. flour
2 tbsp. butter
Cinnamon
2 c. water

DUMPLINGS:

12 apples
Dough for 24 biscuits

Peel and core 12 apples. Make a biscuit dough (2 biscuits per dumpling). Grease a 13 x 9 pan. Put a teaspoon sugar, dash of cinnamon, pat of butter in the center of each apple. Roll biscuit dough and cut to fit apple; place in pan. Bake at 450 degrees for 10 minutes then pour sauce over and bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes. Baste frequently.

SAUCE: Mix sugar and flour well; add butter and cinnamon to taste; add water. Cook until slightly thick, pour over dumplings.
