Masterpiece) 1/2 c. packed brown sugar 1 tart apple, peeled, cored and chopped 1/2 sm. onion, chopped 2 tbsp. golden raisins 3 strips bacon, halved (ham strips can be substituted) In a 1 1/2 quart casserole, combine the drained pork and beans, barbecue sauce, brown sugar, apple, onion and raisins. Arrange the strips of bacon or ham over the top of the mixture in the casserole. Bake the bean mixture in the casserole, uncovered, in a 350 degree oven for 50 to 60 minutes or until the casserole is bubbly. Makes 6 to 8 servings. |
