1 can tomato soup or sauce 1 can tomato paste 1 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. pepper 1 tsp. sugar 2 lg. carrots, sliced thin 2 celery stalks with leaves, chopped fine 2 lg. onions, chopped Garlic powder, sm. amount to taste 1 lb. ground chuck or round Spaghetti Simmer first 6 ingredients for approximately 1 hour. While this mixture is simmering, prepare next 4 ingredients and cook together until soft in small amount of oil. Add water if necessary. Add carrot mixture to sauce. Brown 1 pound ground chuck or ground round in skillet and add to above. Simmer at least another 1/2 hour. Cook spaghetti as directed on box. Layer spaghetti and sauce mixture in roaster pan. Bake in 350 degree oven for 1/2 hour. If you like lots of sauce, reserve some to add when serving on plates. |
