MOIST POUND CAKE 
2 sticks butter, softened
2 c. sugar
6 eggs
2 c. plain flour, sifted 4 times
1 tsp. vanilla extract

Preheat oven to 300 degrees. Cream butter and sugar until smooth. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each. Add flour, beating until creamy. Beat in vanilla. Spoon into greased and floured tube pan. Bake for 1 hour or until cake tests done.
