3 c. unsifted flour
2 c. sugar
2 tsp. baking soda
1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. cloves
1 c. mayonnaise
1/3 c. milk
2 eggs
3 c. chopped apples
1 c. raisins
1 c. walnuts, chopped
1 c. whipping cream, whipped

Grease and floured 2 (9") cake pans. In large bowl combine flour, sugar, soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt and cloves. Add mayonnaise, milk and eggs. Beat at low speed 2 minutes (batter will be thick). With spoon, stir in apples, raisins and nuts. Spoon into pans. Bake in 350 degree oven 40 to 45 minutes. Cool in pans 10 minutes. Remove and cool on racks. Fill and frost with whipped cream or use cream cheese icing. Makes 12 servings.
