WALDORF ASTORIA CAKE | |
1 stick butter 2 c. sugar 2 eggs 1 1/2 c. milk 2 c. flour 2 tsp. baking powder 1/2 c. chopped nuts 1/2 pkg. semi-sweet chocolate 2 tsp. vanilla Cream butter and sugar; add melted chocolate. Add eggs and sifted dry ingredients and milk alternately. Add vanilla and nuts. Bake 1 hour at 350 degrees in tube pan. FROSTING: 1 stick butter 1 1/2 c. powdered sugar 1 tsp. lemon juice 1 tsp. vanilla 1/2 pkg. chocolate morsels 1 c. nuts (1/2) 1 egg white (add yellow to cake) Melt butter and chocolate (let cool). Add sugar and cream these together. Add egg white and beat until well mixed. Add lemon juice and rest of ingredients. |
