SPLIT PEA SOUP 
1 1/2 c. split peas
2 to 3 med. diced potatoes
1/2 sm. onion, chopped fine
Ham, diced (as much as you like)

Cook peas, then cool and put in refrigerator overnight. Next morning, put through blender 2 cups of mixture at a time, set on puree. (Keep blender covered.) Put pea puree in crock pot; add potatoes and onion, ham and more water. Salt to taste. Cook on high in crock pot. Before serving, add little pepper if you like or 1/2 teaspoon butter. Make dumpling recipe on Bisquick box (1/2 recipe). When serving soup, add one dumpling. Substitute crackers or croutons for dumpling.
