CHOW MEIN 
1 lb. round steak, cubed
1 lb. lean pork, cubed
1 tbsp. fat
Salt and pepper to taste
2 lg. onions, diced
2 tbsp. soy sauce
1 bunch celery, diced
4 tbsp. butter
1 can bean sprouts, drained
1 can mushrooms, drained
1 can water chestnuts, drained
2 tbsp. cornstarch
1 c. water

Brown meats in fat. Cover, steam until tender. Add salt, pepper, onions and soy sauce. Cook celery in butter. Add to meat mixture. Add bean sprouts and water chestnuts and mushrooms to meat mixture. Mix cornstarch with water. Add to meat mixture and cover. Cook until thickened. Serve over chow mein noodles with additional soy sauce.
