CHOW MEIN | |
1 lb. pork steak 1 c. celery, chopped 1/2 c. chopped onions 3 tbsp. soy sauce 1 tsp. tenderizer 2 c. beef bouillon broth 1 (3 oz.) can mushrooms 1 can Chinese vegetables 2 tbsp. brown gravy sauce 3 tbsp. cornstarch Cut meat into cubes; brown it. Add celery, onion, soy sauce, and tenderizer to beef broth. Cook with meat for 30 minutes. Blend cornstarch with mushroom liquid; slowly stir into mixture. Add mushrooms and drained vegetables and brown gravy sauce; cook, stirring constantly until mixture thickens and boils. Boil and stir 1 minute. Serve over chow mein noodles. |
