ALMOND FLOUR ROTI | |
What is Almond? the scientific name of the Almond is "Prunus Dulcis" which is a fruit of the deciduous tree. It is rich in calories and is enclosed with a brown hard shell. Brown's hard shell is removed first to make it ready to eat. there are two types of almonds . Sweet and bitter almonds are the two types of almonds. A bitter form of almond contains prussic acid which is a toxic substance. The prussic acid in its strained form is cyanide which is a deadly poison. Bitter almonds are processed to remove this harmful substance before they can be used. 1/2 cup (150 g.) blanched almond flour Curd/Yogurt Boiling water First take a bowl and add almond flour to the curd mixture and mix it well till well combined. Take lukewarm water for kneading the dough and with your hands knead the dough well. Leave the dough aside for 15 minutes and divide it into equal balls. If you want you can add chopped onion to it. Now roll the dough into a circular shape. Take a non-stick pan over medium-high heat. Add roti into the pan and cook well from both sides. Serve with any chutney or dal. Submitted by: Savita |
