CHOCOLATE NUT ANGEL PIE 
4 egg whites
1 c. sugar
1/8 tsp. cream of tartar
1/2 - 1 c. chopped pecans

Beat egg whites with cream of tartar until stiff. Add sugar and beat until glossy. Fold in pecans. Grease a 10" springform pan and spread meringue all around the side and bottom. Bake at 300 degrees for 1 hour until toothpick comes out clean. Fill.

FILLING:

12 oz. chocolate chips
4 egg whites, stiffly beaten
2 c. heavy cream, whipped
3 egg yolks
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
Shaved chocolate

Melt chocolate chips over low heat or in microwave. Remove from heat. Beat in egg yolks. Beat egg whites until stiff; fold gently into chocolate mixture along with vanilla. Fold in 2/3 of whipped cream. Sprinkle with shaved chocolate. Serves 12 to 16.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
